Anderson County Democratic Women's Club was founded in April 1949 to promote the interest of the Democratic Party; inform Democratic women and Anderson County Democrats on matters of government and politics; actively support the Democratic nominees in all general elections; assist Democratic women in the development of political skills and leadership roles in the Democratic party; and encourage them to seek elective or appointive office.
As Democrats we support all efforts that afford people a reasonable start in life, including public education, medical care, freedom from discrimination, investment in public works and support for workers rights. As importantly, we support voting rights, minority rights and environmental protection programs.
On a local level, the ACDWC actively supports the Democratic nominees in all general elections. The Club assists Democratic women in the development of political skills and leadership roles in the Democratic party and encourages them to seek elective or appointive office.
